Don't bother ordering BF4 from Origin, there are cheaper and/or free methods of getting Battlefield 4 if you have some time to spare. The best places to purchase BF4 by far is either Green Man Gaming or Amazon.com which both offer a discount.

If you're looking to get Battlefield 4 and Premium, Amazon has the best deal on it for $109.98 plus a $10 credit. You'll need the guide below in order to get enough gift cards to cover the remaining balance or make it free.

Battlefield 4 and Premium Cheapest Options for Xbox One or Playstation 4

With the Xbox One and Playstation 4 releasing soon, I'm sure you'll be looking for the cheapest and best way to purchase BF4 on consoles. At the time of this post, the best option is through Amazon with the pre-order bonus. I'll be keeping an eye out for coupon codes or sales, but you may as well order it as soon as you're ready.

Amazon has their Pre-Order Price Guarantee, and if it drops you'll get the same savings. The Playstation 4 is due out on November 12, 2013. Xbox One is due November 19th, 2013. You can also expect these to arrive at your door the day of release, sometimes even a few days earlier, which has happened in the past.

Method I Used

Personally, I opted for a combination of both by purchasing Battlefield 4 from Green Man Gaming to get the huge discount and then going to Amazon for Battlefield 4 Premium alone with a $5 credit. Just make sure you're cashing out with the correct payment method like PayPal or Amazon Gift Cards.

FeaturePoints

First, an explanation of what this service does. It is a free web app that you'll use to collect points. Points are collected simply by downloading some of the offered free apps onto your device and running it for 30 seconds. Nothing else is needed, once the application is ran for 30 seconds, you'll be able to return to the main FeaturePoints application and the points will be awarded. At that point you can just delete the app if it is of no interest to you. No personal information, credit card, etc is required at all. Once you've accumulated enough points, you'll be able to cash them in for PayPal gift cards or Amazon Gift Cards.

Step-By-Step to a free PayPal gift cards or Amazon Gift Cards for Battlefield 4


  1. Open Safari and go to FeaturePoints http://featu.re/R9KPCY
  2. Click "Start Now" on the top left corner.
  3. FlickPoints will need to be downloaded, it is used to verify that you downloaded and tried the free apps and takes you to your FeaturePoints homescreen as well.

  4. Launch the FeaturePoints FlickPoints app from your home screen to get started and approve the App to run by clicking "Continue".

  5. My referral code should be automatically populated, but if not, it is R9KPCY and should look like the screenshot below. This will get you started currently with a points boost of 50. Tap "Agree to the terms".

Best Buy Geek Squad Black Tie Protection aka Extended Warranty vs Squaretrade

As a previous Best Buy Geek Squad employee I use to say "eh, maybe" to extended warranties when asked by many of those who purchase electronics and such from Best Buy. (They use to force us to say "Geek Squad Black Tie Protection" but we all know what it really is). Note, the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection GSBTP was previously known as PSP or Product Service Plan. Even I personally purchased it on some items like notebooks. Although I can repair any defects that may occur, I could not pull parts from my hind end. I now redact and advise all to consider the alternative. Don't get me wrong, I've never had a bad experience and they do cover what they say they will cover.
